JJ Wolff Counseling Services provides trauma-informed mental health services for people experiencing emotional distress life transitions, or psychological challenges.
For the past 40 plus years in the field of mental health, I have assisted multiple individuals, families, groups, organizations or communities facing a wide range of concerns—from everyday stressors to periods of crisis or becoming emotionally overwhelmed due to experiencing difficult life circumstances. JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES is unique and uses a "mobile: adaptable counseling approach to recovery that truly aids in finding what works. "One Size Does Not Fit All" and JJ WOLFF COUNSELING SERVICES uses approaches that are not "cookie cutter" in nature and are empirically based. In other words, my job is to help you find the most optimum level of functioning through providing effective tools that are proven effective.

About Jennifer J. Wolff, LISW-CP(S), CTTS
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Approved Clinicial Supervisor and Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist with more than 40 years of both clinical and administrative experience providing trauma-focused mental health care, crisis intervention, and disaster response across public, private, and governmental settings.
My career has included leadership of multidisciplinary crisis response teams and direct clinical support following "high profile" national traumatic events, including the Boston Marathon Bombing, the Aurora and Lafayette theater shootings, and the Las Vegas mass casualty event. I have additionally served as a mental health consultant to global security risk organizations, supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic terrorism and hostage situations.
In addition to clinical practice, I am a former juvenile probation officer with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and a former graduate-level adjunct instructor at the University of South Carolina.
I have extensive experience working with organizations and corporate leaders to promote trauma-informed care, organizational resilience, and workplace violence prevention. I currently provide behavioral health support to members of the South Carolina Air and Army National Guard.
My professional afflliations include board membership with the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Advisory Board, and the Institute of Trauma Informed Care at Columbia College. I have provided national training in active assailant response, workplace violence prevention, and corporate crisis management (URMIA, RIMS, AIG)
Throughout South Carolina, I serve on multiple Employee Assistance Program (EAP) networks and am frequently identified as a preferred provider for Critical Incident Response services. I have been gifted to serve as the mental health "guest" expert on various news stations such as WIS tv, WLTX, ABC Columbia and WACH 57.
My advanced training includes Critical Incident Stress Management (ICISF), EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, family systems, working with families involved in complex litigation (custody/divorce) and somatic-based approaches
I use a strength based approach and focus on helping people build practical coping tools, strengthen emotional regulation, and move forward with clarity and resilience.
Services for Organizations & High-Stress Professions
JJ Wolff Counseling Services offers trauma-informed mental health consultation and support for organizations, leadership teams, and professionals impacted by critical incidents, workplace violence, and high-stress environments.
Services may include post-incident support, trauma-informed consultation, and crisis recovery guidance. Availability is dependent on jurisdictional regulations and service type.
Licensure & TeleMental Health Services
Clinical services are provided in accordance with applicable state licensure laws and professional regulations. Telemental health and structured telephone support are offered when clinically appropriate and permitted by jurisdictional requirements.
A full continuum of services includes an immediate emergency crisis response plan , organizational and leadership management consultation targeting the needs of the primary and secondary impacted and aftercare services.
Mental Health support has also been provided in many other various areas such as:
Grief/Loss, Depression, Anxiety. Child/Adolescent Trauma, Family Conflict(including complex custody cases) , PTSD/Combat Stress, Parenting, Anger Management, Divorce/Separation, Chronic Pain, Women's Issues, Life Transitions, Sleep Disturbances, Spirituality or Psychological Injury due to exposure to an accident on the job (Workmen's Compensation)
